Allie Marie: After-care Instructions

I use a wet healing process as outlined below:

Antibacterial soap: Dr. Bronners or Dial Gold Antibacterial pump soap.

Lotion: Aquaphor for 3 days then Lubriderm

1. Bandage for two hours. After removing the bandage, first wash is hot, warm, cold. Get the water as hot as you can tolerate it, run your tattoo under that for a minute, this will open up the pores. Later with antibacterial soap and rinse with warm water. Once everything is off, rinse under cold water and this will close the pores back up. Pat dry with clean paper towel and then wrap in saran wrap.
   

2. For two days you will wash it 3-4 times a day, warm water and antibacterial soap, pat dry and re-saran wrap.
   

3. On the third day you will continue to wash your tattoo 3-4 times a day, pat dry and add a thin layer of Aquaphor and DO NOT put on saran wrap. Use Aquaphor for 3 days and then switch over to a non-scented lotion.
